Teapot and Teacups by Anne's Pottery

I have been drawn to pottery for many years... admiring and purchasing the works of many local potters.

In the year 2000, I decided to experience clay for myself. I took classes from Nova Scotia Craft and Design with artists Janet Doble and Sarah MacMillan. I also took classes with Pat Foote at Atlantic Pottery Supplies.

My love for clay has grown and I now have a fully equipped studio and am in the process of finishing a Gallery in my home. I use low fired, red earthenware clay. Each piece is hand thrown from the wheel and decorated by hand brushing glaze in layers on the pot. I am very much influenced by the richness of the terra cotta color of the clay that I use and incorporate that in my color scheme. I make functional pottery: plant pots, vases, mugs, bowls, various candle holders, pedestal platters and many others. My pots are being marketed initially through Craft Fairs, my home Gallery and some local Craft Shops. I am also planning to have an Open House during the year; please contact me if you'd like to receive an invitation!
